Dee Anna (York) Marlow March 9, 1955 - June 15, 2013

On June 15, 2013, Dee was hit by a car while crossing a street in Gainesville, Florida. She died of extensive injuries hours later.

Dee was born in Wiesbaden, Germany to Harold and Dorothy York, and traveled around the world while her dad was in the U.S. Air Force. In 1966 the family moved to Bend, and then to Sisters in 1967. She graduated from Redmond High School in 1972 and moved to Seward. Alaska, where she had Dee's Floral Design for 25 years, supplying the big cruise ships with flowers when they came into port. She married Emmitt Hill of Seward. They had four children and were later divorced. In 1993 Dee married Kevin Marlow of Juneau, AK.

Dee moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana four years ago to be closer to her husband's work; he worked on big ships off the coast of Louisiana. They recently moved to Gainesville.

Dee was preceded in death by both parents, Harold and Dorothy York. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Marlow, of Gainesville; brother Larry York of Prineville; sister Sandra Rosencrantz of Sisters; son Emmitt Hill Jr. of Gainesville; daughters Phonecia Hill, Rebecca Ivy, and Diana Kay, all of Seward; nephew Adam Rosencrantz of Federal Way, Washington; niece Katie Roncato of Victoria, British Columbia; and five grandchildren.
