Sisters Habitat for Humanity ReStore is hosting a silent auction featuring recycled and upcycled creations by volunteers and local artists. The auction kicked off with a June 28 party and will close Saturday, July 6, 5 to 6 p.m. with a last chance to bid on treasures.
Meyer Memorial Trust awarded Sisters Kiwanis Community Service Foundation $25,000 to help build its new food bank.
The total amount awarded in Central Oregon since Meyer Memorial Trust began operating in 1982 is more than $20 million. Meyer Memorial Trust is one of the largest private foundations in Oregon, with assets of approximately $722 million.
