The Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament held its 32nd annual tournament this last weekend. Players and spectators enjoyed the clear ocean air of one of the world's most beautiful beaches, as described by National Geographic.
It is the largest amateur beach volleyball tournament in the world. In 2012, 1,296 teams played on 100-plus courts.
The local team of Hannah and Hawley Harrer, playing their first event together, placed second in the women's BB. Working their way through a 32-team, two-day bracket, they played 10 matches to end up in the finals on Saturday, August 10.
Their mother, Janice, won the women's A division.
