Hazel Marie Luzius 1935 - August 19, 2013

Hazel Marie Luzius, 78, died August 19, at home in Squaw Creek Canyon Estates. Hazel was born in 1935 in Philadelphia, PA. The Wilt family moved to Munroe Falls, Ohio, where her mother was postmaster in their country store. She was educated at Kent State University, Kent, OH, where she majored in writing and publications.

At age 18 she was with building products in publicity and writing in Hudson, OH.

Hazel's family dates back to 1880 with John and Mark Wilt, settlers from a wagon train from Pennsylvania, who obtained first water rights from Pole Creek. John and Mark's homestead was west of what became the town of Sisters.

Hazel was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy and Shirley Wilt, and brother Mel Wilt.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Luzius, to whom she was married for 60 years, and sons Brad and Todd Luzius.
