News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Lady Outlaws matched up against Summit and Mt. View at the Summit Jamboree on Thursday, August 29, and look very good as they head into pre-season play.
Sisters played two 30-minute games, the first against Summit, the reigning 5A state champions.
The Outlaws played extremely strong and held Summit scoreless until the final seven minutes of the game.
The Outlaws got off just one shot in the last eight minutes, which ricocheted off the post.
Sisters tied Mt. View 0-0. The Outlaws had several shots on goal but were unable to get any of them into the net.
Coach Audrey Tehan was pleased and impressed with her team.
"It was impressive to see this group of girls play together this well against Summit, and in one of our toughest pre-games of the season," said Tehan. "The team was positive and worked hard. The way they moved the ball around the field was amazing and really shows how much they have improved since last season. We will be working on our attacks in the upcoming week."
The Outlaws were scheduled to play at Crook County on Tuesday, September 3. Sisters will play at home against Redmond on Thursday, September 12, with a start time scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
