New business brightens Sisters' smiles

A smile is one of the strongest impressions a person can make. Eugene-based Simply White recently opened a practice in Sisters to make sure that that smile is bright.

Sherree Colindres opened Simply White in a small space on Elm Street behind The Palace and next to Elements salon.

"We decided to bring a little brighter smiles to Sisters," she said.

Simply White offers the traditional hydrogen peroxide treatment most commonly used in the United States, but there are also alternatives.

"We have developed an organic process that meets UK standards," Colindres told The Nugget.

All ingredients used in this process are botanical, which appeals to people who are focusing on a natural lifestyle.

"It gives you, still, an amazing, great whitening," Colindres said.

Young people avail themselves of whitening for special events. The bulk of the clientele is middle-aged and older.

"Our mainstay is 40-65 - adults, career-driven or retirees just trying to look their best as they naturally age."

Colindres says she loves working with people who are not proud of their smile.

"They leave here beaming from ear to ear," she said.

Asked what brought her to Sisters, Colindres replied, simply, "God." She elaborated that she was drawn here from Eugene by the climate and the schools. She lived in Lake Tahoe for a while, and the Central Oregon climate and landscape reminded her of the kind of place she loves.

The reputation of Sisters' schools was an important factor.

"My daughter is starting high school and we really wanted her to have a good foundation for when she goes out on her own after high school," she said.

Simply White is located at 110 S. Elm St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday, and by appointment. For more information call 541-719-8031.
