Marie "Patty" T. Conroy, passed away November 5.
Patty Conroy was a very special woman, a loving wife and mother, and a wonderful friend with an unbridled zest for life. She will be remembered for her humor, warmth, strength, and generous spirit. She cherished her friends and family and was especially proud of her beautiful grandchildren. She always delighted in exploring the world and being able to share it with fellow travelers. She was an active and enthusiastic member of the Red Hat Society in the Portland area for a number of years prior to her death.
Patty was born and raised on the East Coast and was married to Robert S. Conroy in 1954. She lived the majority of her adult life with her husband and family in the Pacific Northwest, residing for the last 40 years in the Portland-Lake Oswego area. She also spent many decades enjoying the Sisters area of Central Oregon at the family vacation home at Black Butte Ranch, her favorite place to appreciate natural beauty in the company of friends and family.
Patty is survived by son Stephen; daughter Kathleen and partner Anne Preston; son Michael and daughter-in-law Renee; son Timothy and daughter-in-law Jillian; and grandchildren Nicholas and Chelsea.
She was predeceased by her son Christopher and husband Robert.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 16 at The Foundry Events Center in Lake Oswego.
