Karl E. Farr December 25, 1928 - December 4, 2013

Karl E. Farr of Sisters died December 4, peacefully at home. He was born December 25, 1928 in Bakersfield, California to May and Karl M. Farr. He moved to Sisters in 1993.

Karl's father and uncle were with the original Sons of the Pioneers, and were in over 90 movies with Charles Starrett and Roy Rogers, three movies with Gene Autry, one movie with Bing Crosby and one movie with John Wayne.

Karl was a linotype/intertype operator at the Sacramento Bee for 25 years. He also loved photography and videography, and did weddings for 18 years. He loved hunting and fishing, and riding his ATV in the woods.

Karl married his high school sweetheart, Patsy Jennings Farr, and they celebrated 65 years together on November 7, 2013. He is survived by his wife Pat, his son Michael Lee Farr, daughter Karla Diane Dryden, five grandkids, and six great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Marshall Wayne Farr. Services were held Saturday, December 7 at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
