News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Furry Friends Foundation would like to thank all who made this past Saturday's pet photos with Santa and open house fundraisers a success.
Many thanks to Jan and Cooper Gould and Jacob Biber who volunteer yearly to organize and take the pet photos, to Sam Hernandez from Central Bark who you might guess was Sam-ta Claus, to Erin Borla at the Sisters Area Chamber who allowed us to use the chamber office last minute to be inside, and to Hadley McCann for the use of his professional lighting.
Many thanks to Kathy Deggendorfer who annually sponsors the Sisters Art Works open house and pet photos with Santa and to Susan Robinson who helps organize the event.
Thank you to Teresa Mahnken and Patti Risley who helped tend the table at the open house and for their artwork on the Furry Friends Christmas ornaments.
Thank you also to Monica Rendon, pet coat fashion designer, ornament painter and hand-made ornament creator.
And finally thank you to the folks who ventured out in the extreme weather.

Congratulations to many local artists whose work was displayed this weekend at the Sisters Holiday Open House. The Sisters community supported the Sisters Kiwanis Food Bank through the purchase of hand painted platters. There are still hand painted platters available for purchase at $100 each. 100 percent of donations go to the local food bank. See the platters at the Sisters Art Works building at the corner of Ash and Adams. Platters will be reduced in price on December 16.
