School board to appoint director

The Sisters School Board will appoint one board director to fill the three-year term of Kay Grady on the school board. Grady stepped down due to family obligations last week.

Her term expires June 30, 2017.

To be eligible, a candidate must live in the school district, not be an officer or employee of the district, and be a qualified voter in the district. The candidate should participate in school activities, be active in the community, be a problem solver and commit to review materials and attend board meetings.

Contact Mel Petterson, school board secretary, via email at [email protected] or pick up an application at the district office. The application deadline is 4 p.m. on Monday, July 28. Interviews will be held Friday, August 1, at 9 a.m. at the district office.
