McGregor to exhibit art at gallery

Have you seen "Buck" lately?

The local mule deer, with his signature "pompadeer," wearing an earring and playing the harmonica, appears all over town on the 2014 Sisters Folk Festival poster. The "Original Buck" can be seen - along with lots of Dennis McGregor's other work - starting with this Fourth Friday Art Stroll, Friday, August 22, at Sisters Gallery & Frame Shop.

In addition to "Buck," the Sisters Gallery will also feature "All The Town's A Stage," a fanciful illustration featuring musical notes ascending from venues across town into colorful clouds above. This image captures the essence of what makes our small-town festival special. It's being used in print, Internet promotion, and as a backdrop at the Sisters Folk Festival's Village Green Stage.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of All The Town's A Stage will be donated back to the Sisters Folk Festival in support of the Americana Project, the festival's education outreach program.

McGregor's work is featured in several commercial venues, but rarely has such a collection of his original paintings been displayed (and for sale) in a gallery. This show will run from August 22 through September 24. This show will include several new works and originals from McGregor's recently published book, "Dream Again."

McGregor will be performing briefly during the Art Stroll, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sisters Gallery & Frame Shop, prior to his concert at 7 p.m. at Angeline's Bakery.
