Three people from one family lost their lives in a wreck on the Santiam Pass on Saturday.
Oregon State Police (OSP) reports that on October 18, at approximately 9:57 a.m., a 2010 Dodge Caliber was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 78 when it lost control on the wet roadway, crossed into the westbound lane, and collided with a westbound 2001 Chevrolet Suburban towing a 32-foot travel trailer.
The operator of the Dodge Caliber, Tiffany Fefelov, 27, her husband Fred Fefelov, 34, and their daughter Mila, age 7 months, from Sherwood, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. They leave behind a 6-year-old son.
The operator of the Suburban, Francis Hart, 78, and his wife, Sally Hart, 77, from Salem, were uninjured in the crash.
A crowd-sourcing fundraising site has been set up at www.gofundme.com/Fefelovfamily for a Fefelov Family Memorial Fund to take care of funeral expenses.
OSP was assisted at the scene by the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, Black Butte Police Department, Black Butte Fire Department and ODOT.
