News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Local results as reported by the Deschutes County Clerk's office show the $14.5 school bond going down to defeat by a substantial margin 58 percent to 42 percent. Incumbent Mayor Brad Boyd failed to retain his city council seat as Nancy Connolly and David Asson earned four-year terms while Wendy Holzman won a two-year stint.
Voters rejected medical marijuana dispensaries in the city. Cloverdale Fire District patrons overwhelmingly approved a bond measure to fund equipment and facilities upgrades.
