We would like to thank and acknowledge Deri Frazee and Jennifer Seher for their work at organizing a Thanksgiving Dinner in Sisters. Thank you also to Sisters Community Church for allowing the use of their facility. It was so nice to see so many volunteers come together for this event!

Several fathers and their sons working side by side, local chefs, a Sisters High School teacher and several of her students.

We were touched and so very glad to have been permitted to help. Jennifer and Deri, job well done!

• Sisters author Larry Len Peterson's book "Charles M. Russell: Photographing the Legend" won accolades in the "Best of the West" list in the forthcoming January edition of True West Magazine. The coffee-table book was named "Best Photography and Graphic Art." Signed copies of the book are available in Sisters at Old West Collectables at 183 E. Hood Ave. Visit www.oldwestcollectables.com.

• The Sisters School District and Sisters School Board will be hosting a reception to honor the Sisters High School Volleyball team, 2014 4A State Champions. The reception will be held Wednesday, December 10, 5 p.m. (prior to the 6 p.m. school board meeting) at the Sisters School District Office. All community members are invited to attend. Cake will be served.
