Ronald Charles Ramsey November 17, 2014

Ronald Charles Ramsey passed away in Baja Mexico on November 17, at the age of 69.

He was the eldest son of Marvin and Marge Ramsey and grew up in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Lake Oswego High School. Ron served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

He married Betty Clunes in 1977. They lived in Sisters where Ron worked in construction and at Hoyt's Hardware. In 1987, together with their daughter, they moved to The big island of Hawaii. Ron continued in construction with his own company, Westside Home Repair.

After retirement Ron spent several years traveling to Thailand and recently Mexico, always in search of warm weather.

He is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Ben) Deshotel, Louisiana; grandchildren Ayden and Dixie Deshotel, Louisiana; brother Lance (Suzy) of Sisters; sisters Kathy (Ted) Lamont Portland, Lynnette ( Rich) Klecker Damascus; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held next summer in Sisters.
