Michael H. Nutt passed away on May 27.
He was the husband to Susan Nutt (Davis) for 35 years and the father to Amanda Den (Nutt) and Cody Nutt.
Michael was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 19, 1946, to Herman and Harriett Nutt. Michael attended Howe Military School before serving in the Army during Vietnam. He later was a graduate of Boise State University and was employed with Charles H. Lilly Miller Co. (Lilly Miller), Garden Grow Co., and Yard 'n Garden Land before retiring in 2012.
Michael then moved to Sisters, where he enjoyed the beautiful Central Oregon scenery and many outdoor activities. He was an active member in the Oregon Band of Brothers Sisters Chapter and the American Legion Post #86.
He spent the last few years of his life in the company of Patricia Herman. He enjoyed collecting trains, traveling, gardening and spending time with friends, his children, and grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Nutt, in 2010, and sister Susie Lyon (Nutt) in 2000. Survivors include Amanda (Kurtis) Den, Cody (Heidi) Nutt; four grandchildren, Carter and Natalie Den, Taylor and Asher Nutt.

Graveside service will be held at Lewisville Cemetery in Battleground, Washington, on Friday, June 19, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at The Cedars on Salmon Creek.
