Jazz Folks to perform at wine bar

Jazz Folks - four musicians with diverse backgrounds and experience - will take the stage at The Open Door on Sunday, August 23, at 6 p.m. to offer up some first-class jazz for Sisters' music-loving fans.

Jeanne Wentworth, Aaron Rohrbacher, Tyler Cranor and David Wentworth make up Jazz Folks.

Wentworth has enjoyed a stellar classical vocal performing career, including operatic roles, oratorio, jazz and Broadway performances throughout the U.S.

Rohrbacher is an experienced and versatile clarinettist and saxophonist. He is currently a faculty member and instructor of clarinet and saxophone at Cascade School of Music in Bend.

Cranor is a professional bassist with a classical education and broad performance background. Tyler has returned to the Central Oregon area after living and performing in Eugene, Los Angeles, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. He teaches music at Central Oregon Community College, and for the Sisters School District.

David Wentworth began playing drums professionally in high school with his jazz band instructor and other music school grads throughout the Pittsburgh region. While attending college and graduate school, David played fusion, jazz, pop, and cross-over music throughout the region.
