News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Circle of Friends would like to thank A'Journe Spyker, Sisters Fire District, and the members of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration for the donation of apples, time, and instruction on making fresh apple cider on November 4.
The Sisters Schools Foundation Board is pleased to share the results of our fall distribution to teachers in the Sisters School District. Thank you to Starry Nights, The Roundhouse Foundation, and numerous private donors whose generous contributions and continued support allow for teacher requests to be granted.
New Superintendent Curt Scholl commented, "I am so impressed by the community support for the Sisters Schools Foundation's mission to provide enrichment funding for the schools in our district."
The Foundation was able to fund $21,827 of programs. Funding supported all three schools including kindergarten literacy supplementation, sixth-grade outdoor school and an auditorium acoustic shell.
We would also like to thank the teachers in the Sisters School District for their hard work, dedication, and creativity that inspires our students daily and makes us proud to be a part of this community.
