The Keiser University Seahawks report that: The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its women's volleyball All-Region teams for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Seahawks' Megan Minke was honored in the Southeast Region.
Minke, a junior middle blocker from Sisters, Oregon, added this honor to her excellent season. On the year, she was named Newcomer of the Year for the conference along with First-Team All-Conference honors. Megan was the conference leader in hitting percentage at .357, and service aces with 58. She totaled 267 total kills on the season, which was second on the team.
Head Coach Chris Taylor said, "I am very excited for Megan's achievement of earning First-Team All-Region honors today. She has worked extremely hard this season, and it's great to see that effort pay off. Without the support of her teammates she wouldn't have been able to earn the honors that she did this season."
