News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Progress continues with the voter-approved upgrades at the Cloverdale Fire District.
The District reports that contractor Keeton King Construction has promised to have the building at Station 601 on George Cyrus Road completed to a point later this week where the trucks can be parked indoors.
The cabs and chassis of the new pumpers have been completed and moved to Rosenbauers' plant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Last week firefighter Spencer Cashwell and Lieutenant Clinton Weaver traveled to Sioux Falls and inspected the cabs and chassis for conformation to the written specification. They spent about six hours inspecting each cab and chassis. The trucks are scheduled for completion near the end of January 2016.
