Starry Nights tickets on sale February 15

Tickets go on sale on Monday, February 15 at 8 a.m. for a concert featuring the return of one of Starry Nights' most beloved artists - acclaimed singer-songwriter Karla Bonoff.

"Starry Nights Presents An Evening With Karla Bonoff" takes place on Sunday, April 3, at The Belfry in Sisters. The event is a benefit for the Sisters Schools Foundation and will raise funds for classroom and co-curricular programs at Sisters elementary, middle, and high schools. Bonoff was the first performer to ever grace the Starry Nights stage when she appeared in 1997 to kick off the long-running concert series, which has raised more than one million dollars in net proceeds to date.

Bonoff has been described as one of the finest singer-songwriters of her generation. With a career spanning four decades, Bonoff is celebrated for a songwriting catalog that includes such hits as "Someone To Lay Down Beside Me," "Lose Again," and "All My Life" for Linda Ronstadt, "Home" for Bonnie Raitt, and "Tell Me Why" for Wynonna.

Many fans and critics prefer Bonoff's own renditions of her songs, which as one reviewer says "take on fresh life when Karla performs them - her voice pure and easy, tender and utterly persuasive." Most recently, Bonoff was featured alongside such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Keb' Mo, Lyle Lovett and Shawn Colvin on the 2014 release Looking Into You: A Tribute to Jackson Browne, which includes her cover of Browne's classic ballad "Something Fine."

Accompanying Bonoff for her Starry Nights performance will be renowned folk musician and guitarist extraordinaire Nina Gerber.

Doors open at 6 p.m., where guests can enjoy hors d'oeuvres prepared by students of the Sisters High School culinary arts program, under the guidance of their teacher TR McCrystal, and a selection of fine wines courtesy of Eola Hills Wine Cellars. Pre-concert entertainment will be provided by two talented Sisters High School Americana Project Students, Megan Rose and Sedona Baer. Karla Bonoff will take the stage at 7 p.m., with an intermission featuring a live auction and paddle raise in support of Sisters schools. After the concert, the artists will join the audience at The Belfry for dessert, coffee and a chance to sign CDs.

Premier sponsors for the event are St. Charles Health System and The Roundhouse Foundation. Other key sponsors are Ray's Food Place, Eola Hills Wine Cellars, Fullhart Insurance of Sisters, Hawk's Haven Reserve, Metabolic Maintenance, Bank of the Cascades, FivePine Lodge and Spa, The Nugget Newspaper, XPress Printing, Gearbox and The Belfry.

Tickets are priced at $75 and include two beverage tokens and complimentary hors d'oeuvres. For questions, email [email protected]
