Her special friends Billie and Adrienne were some of the last people to share a conversation with LaVaughn, and their friendship was truly treasured. LaVaughn had many friends and loved ones, and her tenacity, resilience, huge heart and famous fried chicken will be missed by all.

LaVaughn was sober more than 20 years, and helped countless others in their addiction struggles. Donations made to Alcoholics Anonymous in her name would be a gift LaVaughn would truly appreciate. No memorial has yet been scheduled, but her life will be celebrated by friends and family later this summer.
