Aircraft hitting Fryrear Road fire

Multiple aircraft have been deployed to fight a 20-acre blaze off Fryrear Road in the vicinity of Cascade Estates Drive east of Sisters. According to Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch, numerous structure protection units have been dispatched to the area. The fire is 30 percent contained, with crews working to cut a bulldozer line around it. There is no word on a cause.

Katy Yoder, who lives nearby, said, "There's lots of airplanes coming over and they're taking care of it. I don't see any new smoke. I just got home, and I'm cleaning the chicken coop and I'm not worried."
