Carolyn Ann Asson October 19, 1937 - December 1, 2016

Carolyn Ann Asson, 79, passed away in the early morning of December 1, in her home, at peace and comfortable with her family by her side.

Carolyn was born October 19, 1937, in Salem, Oregon to Alphon and Dorothy Cramer. She met her husband in 1956 at the University of Portland where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Carolyn and David were married January 9, 1960, and lived in Santa Monica and Sunnyvale, California for a few years, then 44 years in Beaverton, Oregon, before retiring in Sisters in 2006.

Carolyn had a long career as a registered nurse, always working tirelessly for others. She raised four children, Kathy, David, Steven and Kenneth, with endless love and strong values of kindness, character and education. Carolyn was an accomplished pianist, an excellent cook, a crack bridge player, and loved to take trips to Reno with her husband to try beating the slot machines and blackjack tables.

Carolyn is survived by her husband David and her four children, Kathy Peterson of Sisters; David also of Sisters; Steven of Williamsburg, Virginia; and Ken of Park Ridge, Illinois; her brother David of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, December 9 at St. Edward the Martyr Catholic Church with a reception to follow at the Pine Meadow Village Clubhouse. Please favor a charity in lieu of floral remembrances.
