News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
On January 26, our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Peggy Marshall, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Peggy passed away at home with her husband Chuck and her youngest daughter Patty by her side. Peggy was born on April 8, 1930, in Corsicana, Texas, to William and Naomi Camp. Peggy met her future husband, Chuck Marshall, while they were both working at Wentworth & Irwin in Portland. They married on January 19, 1951, at The Church of Christ in Portland. They just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Peggy leaves behind three children, Chuck (Diane) Marshall from Washougal, Washington; Becky (Wayne) Buckelew from Sandy; and Patty (Galarsa) from Gazelle, California; plus nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren (with another due next month).
Peggy will be missed by many family members and friends. Peggy has lived her whole life serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and been a great influence to many people in their lives. May she rest in the arms of Jesus, till we meet again.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Sisters Community Church on April 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. and another one in Troutdale on May 6, at The Chapel from noon to 2 p.m. then afterwards Peggy's ashes will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery.
