Boys lacrosse lose two

The boys lacrosse squad fell 14-3 at home to Mt. View on Tuesday, April 11, and four days later got beat 16-5 at home by Hermiston.

In Tuesday's match-up, Mt. View held a 7-0 advantage at the half. They doubled up their score in the second half to beat the Outlaws by 11.

Trey Stadeli had a good game for the Outlaws, and finished with a goal and two assists. Casey Warbuton had 14 saves in goal.

Sisters was without leading scorer Ethan Morgan, who was out due to a concussion he suffered in last Friday's game against Churchill.

"Despite coming out on the short end on the scoreboard, we did see improvements in reducing turnovers and being more competitive for ground balls," said Coach Paul Patton.

On Saturday, in the Outlaws game against Hermiston, Jude Kokesh-Carhart had two goals for Sisters, and Gator Haken, Bennett Lewis, and Stadeli each had one.

Matt Harris and Cole Pade both recorded six ground balls, and Sam Mitchell played a solid game on the defensive end.

Hermiston out-shot the Outlaws 55-26. Sisters continued to improve on reducing their turnovers, and finished with a season low of 25.

Warburton played great in the goal, and finished with 17 saves, several which were from point-blank range.

Patton said, "Overall, the team continues to learn and improve despite coming up short on the scoreboard. The offense did a better job of moving the ball around and getting good shots, and our transition got better in both directions."

Sisters was to play at Summit on Tuesday, April 18. On Friday, April 21, the Outlaws are scheduled to play at home against Wilsonville.
