As the weather warms and visitors come rolling into town, Sisters' live music scene kicks into high gear, featuring touring artists and the best of local musicians playing at a variety of venues across town.
There's music in the air.
Thursday night, the Honey Don't Trio will be singing songs at Preston Thompson Guitars in Sisters. The room holds about 30. Tickets are $10; call 541-588-6211.
Hardtails Bar & Grill has enclosed and upgraded their outdoor corral stage area and will feature live music throughout the summer. On Saturday night, May 27, "The Edge" will take the stage, performing classic rock. The show starts at 8 p.m. and there is no cover charge. On Sunday, May 28, at 8 p.m. Hardtails features The HWY 97 Band's classic rock. Again, there is no cover charge. All outdoor shows will end by midnight all summer long.
The Food Cart Garden at Eurosports will play host to music through the summer. Starting Memorial Day weekend until the first week of September, a variety of regional and national performers from rock to Americana to jazz will grace the outdoor stage from 5 to 7 p.m. All events are free and family- and dog-friendly.
Opening up the summer music scene Friday, May 26, is the Bobby Lindstrom Trio with blues, rock and originals. Bobby plays more than 200 dates a year and is known for his bluesy voice and blistering guitar. On Saturday, May 27, the Americana-folk-country duo of Jim Cornelius and Mike Biggers performs.
Cork Cellars will feature the folk duo NTT at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 27.
Look for live music through the summer at Sisters Saloon, The Open Door, The Depot Café, Black Butte Ranch and at the courtyard at Angeline's Bakery & Café.
Black Butte Ranch will host a summer concert series on Wednesdays on the lawn near the Bistro. The Sisters Folk Festival will also continue their summer concerts at Fir Street Park.
