Linda Pauer Monahan August 19, 1948 - June 24, 2017

Linda Pauer Monahan was born in Gary, Indiana, to John and Christine Pauer. She graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana with a degree in teaching. She attained a master's degree in education at National College of Education. She was a teacher for nearly three decades at Keeneyville, Illinois middle schools.

She met the love of her life when she was 14 at Holy Angels School. Linda and Bill dated from 1964-1971 and then were married.

She enjoyed teaching early-adolescent children, spirituality, teaching tai chi and chi kung, hiking in Oregon forests, ukulele, book club and her family. After moving to Sisters in 2006, she contributed to the community, including managing the animal venue at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration Country Fair.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bill Monahan; her sons John (Alice) and Bob (Michelle); her beloved grandchildren Mason, Mila and Dempsey; and her faithful friend and dog Boomer.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 19 at Sisters Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration at 10:30 a.m.
