Sisters will 'Toast the Trails'

Sisters outdoor enthusiasts can connect with fellow hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians at the Sisters Trails Alliance (STA) Toast the Trails event at Three Creeks Brewing Co.'s tasting room on Thursday, August 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.

STA is partnering with Three Creeks Brewing Co. to offer tastings, tours and door prizes for anyone interested in networking with trail users or learning more about craft beer, brewing and STA. This is an opportunity to sample local craft beer and support the organization that keeps local trails in tip-top shape for hiking, biking or horseback riding.

Three Creeks Brewing Co. is renowned as a gateway to Central Oregon's beer and adventure, as they pursue crafting classic Northwest beers. Three Creeks Brewing has never been one to follow trends, but to tenaciously blaze their own trail.

STA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect people and communities to each other and their natural surroundings. The organization maintains the Peterson Ridge Trail System, produces a free trails map, hosts an annual speaker series, and supports trail-related activities and events throughout the year. STA relies on memberships, donations and Toast the Trails fundraising events to support its work.

Tickets for the event are $10 and include a tasting of beers on tap, a free beer of your choice and light hors d'oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased at www.sisterstrails.org or at the door.

The tasting room is located at 265 E. Barclay Dr. Three Creeks will do brewery tours and is donating door prizes including $25 and $50 gift cards to the brew pub.
