Beth Wood returns to Sisters

Oregon-based, nationally touring, award-winning singer-songwriter Beth Wood will take the stage in the food cart garden at Eurosports on Saturday, August 12 at 5 p.m. Wood will perform an intimate concert of story and song in a family-friendly setting.

Texas-born, Portland-based singer-songwriter Beth Wood is a modern-day troubadour and an award-winning songwriter with a powerful, dynamic voice. Her exceptional musicianship, crafty songwriting, and commanding stage presence have been winning over American audiences for twenty years. Beth's music is a soulful, organic, intelligent, barefoot, high-energy communication of joy.

Beth's performances and songs have won accolades from the Kerrville New Folk, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Telluride Troubadour Contest, and Sisters Folk Festival. Beth has been a four-time featured artist on the Cayamo Songwriters' cruise alongside Lyle Lovett, Patty Griffin, John Hiatt, Indigo Girls, and Shawn Colvin. She is currently touring behind the release of her 10th CD, "Spring Tide," an intimate set of hauntingly beautiful acoustic songs produced by Eugene's Tyler Fortier and recorded live in Lincoln City.

Beth recently launched "20/20," a celebration of her 20 years as a full-time musician in which she will release 20 new works to subscribers and fans in 2017. In 2016, Beth expanded her repertoire and released her first book of poetry, "Kazoo Symphonies."

Beth currently lives in Portland and has immersed herself in the Northwest music community, including working on staff with the Sisters Folk Festival and Americana Song Academy for six years as an instructor and host of the Sunday Community Celebration.
