Outlaws roll to easy pre-season win

The Outlaws jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back, as they sailed to a 58-37 win at Crook County (CC) on Friday, December 1, in their first pre-season game of the year.

Sisters was up 11-5 at the close of the first quarter and up by 15 at the half, with a score of 29-14. The Outlaws held the lead from tip-off until the final whistle blew.

Sisters did get into some early foul trouble, but quickly adjusted, and played better as the game went on. The Outlaws had a very solid first-performance. The defense held the Cowboys to under 40 points, defending well against CC offense.

The win was an overall team effort, and seven players put points up on the scoreboard. Noah Richards led the pack with 21 points, with his last 10 points coming in the final quarter, and Jack Berg followed with 14 points.

Richards and Berg both played a balanced game, and contributed big on both offense and defense. Brad Eagan and Isaiah Rush did well at guard, scoring seven and five points respectively. Austin Lake recorded five points and Zach Anderson put up four, and both posts grabbed numerous rebounds. Ryan Waddell added two points to round out the scoring effort.

Coach David Godfrey said, "I am pleased with our effort and how well we played as a team. It was a good way to start the season. Now, we need to keep working hard to improve and come together even more as a team."

Sisters will play at home against The Dalles on Friday, December 8.
