Former Sisters Schools head investigated in Albany

Former Sisters Schools Superintendent Jim Golden is under investigation in his current position as superintendent of Greater Albany Public Schools.

The Albany-Democrat Herald reported last week that "The Albany School Board voted unanimously Tuesday night (March 27, 2018) to place Superintendent Jim Golden on paid administrative leave, pending the conclusion of an investigation."

The investigation is reportedly related to complaints received by the board; the school board chair declined to

comment on the nature of the complaints other than to not that "they did not involve students in the Greater Albany Public Schools and that the complaints have not been verified."

The complaints reportedly do not allege criminal wrongdoing. Golden was hired as Sisters' superintendent in 2010 and took the position in Albany in 2015.
