Girls lacrosse racks up 19 goals in win

The Lady Outlaws shots were right on target and hit the back of the net over and over again in their 19-13 road win against Marist on Thursday, April 5.

Sisters started off a bit slow, but gained energy and excitement and at the half were on top 10-8. Kaylee Huber was strong at center and had three draw controls.

The Outlaws were fired up as they entered the second half of the contest, and tallied nine additional goals, four of them from Ellie Cook. Sophia Bianchi scored Sisters' final goal to wrap up the Outlaws' scoring spree.

Sisters also did a great job of getting the ball back from the Spartans. Pearl Gregg had four caused turnovers and did a good job of working both sides of the field.

Sisters prevented Marist from scoring in the final thirty seconds of the contest, when goalie Makila Lajko made a tremendous save at the top right of the cage. Lajko finished with a 43 percent save rate.

Ellie Cook had a phenomenal game and finished with eight goals, half of them by wrapping around the crease. Huber tallied five goals in the contest and also posted nine draw controls for the game. Gregg recorded five goals and five ground balls.

Sisters was to play at Redmond on Monday, April 9. The team will match up against Grant on Saturday, April 14.
