Sisters Arts Association Fourth Friday Art Stroll

The April 27 Sisters Art Stroll, 4 to 7 p.m., holds a special treat for visitors. Art contributed by local artists to the upcoming My Own Two Hands (MOTH) Art Auction will be on display at two locations: Sisters Art Works at 204 W. Adams Ave. and at 142 E. Main Ave., just east of Sisters Feed Company. This gives art lovers a chance to see the art up close and personal, before the auction.

At Hood Avenue Art, view and bid on five themed works inspired by a gallery partners' visit to Shibui Spa. All proceeds will benefit Ten Friends for their work to improve the lives of children in Nepal. This month's gallery exhibit also features new works by artists Sarah Hansen and Karen Evans.

The work of photographer Lisa Belt will be featured at Gary Cooley's Collection Gallery. Belt's signature photo, Back Road to Oregon, "evokes a tremendous feeling in me that it was time to take a new road in my life," she says.

The Clearwater Gallery features Housewarming, showing the beauty and function of art that makes your house a home. Local woodworker Bob Bousquet will be at the gallery from 4 to 6 p.m., along with Leslee Burtt and Chris Warren of Handwoven Arts.

Beacham's Clock Company will give tours on clockmaking.

Kate Aspen's Cowgirls and Indians shop has bronzes by Mary Barbera and new Navajo jewelry.

Sisters Coffee Company once again has Austin Jackson's gorgeous Central Oregon landscape photography on their walls. Stop by for a special coffee and chat with Austin.

Twigs Fiber Arts Gallery's new exhibit features the art quilt creations of June Jaeger.

Sisters Gallery and Frame Shop has new multimedia collages by Carol Grigg, constellation collection paintings by Paul Alan Bennett, scratch art by Jennifer Hartwig, and Prismacolor pencil sketches by Mike Stasko.

Ken Scott (Imagination Gallery) has collaborated with artist and colorist Marjie Scott, creating several new designs of hand-hammered, hand-pierced steel lighting that create out-of-this-world ambience for ceiling, floor, table in any room of your home.

Raven Makes Gallery welcomes award-winning Navajo artist Jason Parrish. Jason has been juried in shows including the Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum, The Autry, Red Earth Festival and the 2018 Drawing and Watercolor Exhibition at Champs-Elysees, Paris. Jason depicts the Dine people and their Navajo world during the period of 1890 to 1945, in a unique style of minimalism within contemporary realism.

Wildflower Studio will be featuring pastel and acrylic artist Jeni Kelleher. Jeni will be demonstrating the process she uses to start and complete a pastel painting.

Grizzly Ridge Upcycle is gearing up for summer. Jenny Ellsworth's pine-cone-shaped fire pit was created using re-purposed old shovelheads. Jenny has been with Upcycle for two years, and is currently one of four artists being considered for a commissioned piece to be displayed at the Deschutes Historical Museum in Bend.

Jill Neal Gallery is home to a stable of new impressionistic and design horses from Jill's studio.

At Redfield Gallery, Randy Redfield will be displaying his large-format color-field paintings, and his ceramic bowls and platters are marked down 40 percent for art stroll. Kibak Tile will have house numbers and original hand-painted tiles on display.

Nature's Bling's new owners, Arlene and Kyle Olechnowicz, welcome you to stop by. Their unique collection of gems and minerals includes new solonite lamps, citrine trees, and the popular Dinosaur Dig for kids.

Across town at Sisters Library, photographer Conrad Weiler will be on hand to talk about his many photographs, currently in the lobby and Community Room. Displays of art from Sisters Middle and High School are featured elsewhere in the library.
