The Sisters City Council has announced two finalists for the position of city manager: Cory Misley and Tom Pessemier.
Cory Misley is the current city manager of La Pine, where he has served since 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Psychology from Portland State University and a Masters of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Tom Pessemier most recently worked for the City of Sherwood. Since 2005 he has served in several positions including: assistant city manager, city manager pro-tem, community development director, city engineer, and civil engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Oregon State University.
The community can meet the finalists in person at an event on Monday, October 8, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Sisters City Hall, 520 E. Cascade Ave. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss topics of interest with the finalists in an informal setting. Light refreshments will be served.
Final interviews will be conducted on Tuesday, October 9; the City Council expects to make its selection by Wednesday, October 10.
