Public hearing set on major project

Sisters citizens can weigh in on a major development project slated for the west side of town on Thursday, February 20, at 5:30 p.m. at Sisters City Hall.

The Sisters planning commission will hold a hearing on the master plan for up to 50 multi-family units covering approximately 26,800 square feet of building area and approximately 26,800 square feet of commercial space and supporting infrastructure behind the current Three Winds Shopping Center.

The proposed Dollar General store between McKinney Butte Road and Bi-Mart is not part of this MPD. The site plan for that building and parking lot is part of a separate application.

Public oral or written testimony is invited at the hearing at 520 E. Cascade Ave. A copy of the application, all documents and evidence submitted by or for the applicant, and the applicable criteria and standards can be reviewed at Sisters City Hall at no cost. Copies are available. Files associated with the project can be viewed by visiting the Community Development Department’s project web page at Community Development Department.
