Traditional Memorial Day gathering will not go forward

Due to COVID-19-related restrictions, Sisters’ traditional Memorial Day observance has been significantly altered.

No public gathering will occur on Monday, May 25. A small group limited to 10 veterans will conduct a 15-minute ceremony at the Village Green in remembrance of fallen service members from all of America’s wars.

The Nugget will publish biographical information on World War II veteran Leon Devereaux, as well as the names of the Sisters veterans who passed over the past year in the edition of May 27.
