News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The City of Sisters has allocated $40,000 to be granted to local businesses that have been severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The City’s intent is to assist viable businesses that were temporarily closed due to public health restrictions.
Many businesses were forced to adjust their operations and innovate new ways to reach their customer base, with unexpected expense to the business. The City hopes these awards will alleviate some financial strain and support their recovery.
To be eligible for this grant, the applicant business must:
• Have a current City of Sisters business license.
• Be a Sisters-based for-profit or nonprofit business.
• Have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
• Have a net operating loss due to COVID-19 of 25 percent or greater (demonstrated by end of year financials for 2019 and 2020).
Application details will be posted on Thursday, April 1 at www.sisterscountry.com. Applications must be fully complete and received no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
