Early election results

Sisters voters appear to have overwhelmingly approved the renewal of local option levies to support the operations of Sisters School District and Sisters Park & Recreation District.

Initial returns show the SSD local option prevailing with 75 percent of the vote and the SPRD levy has better than 78 percent of votes in favor.

Asa Sarver has a strong plurality of votes in a three-way race for Sisters School Board Position 4, standing at 49.49 percent to Hilary Saunders 27.39 percent and Jayne Simmons’ 22.98. Long-serving incumbent Jeff Smith has 56.85 percent of the vote for Position 3, to Karissa Bilderback’s 42.86 percent.
